Duties and Responsibilities of the Highway Department:

        ▪ Maintenance of county highways and bridges including:
        ▪ Highway patching, sealing and paving
        ▪ Bridge and culvert repairs and replacements
        ▪ Snow and ice removal
        ▪ Roadside mowing, brushcutting and tree removal
        ▪ Traffic sign installation and maintenance
        ▪ Ditching and stream modifications (at bridges/culverts)
        ▪ Guard rail replacement
        ▪ Assisting townships with culvert replacements
